I have always dreamed of attending a major golf championship. When I heard that the 2022 PGA Championship was being held at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma, right where I grew up. I knew I had to be there. I purchased my tickets and prepped for golfing adventure that I will never forget.
Upon arrival into Southern Hills, I was struck by the grandeur of the course. The impeccable fairways, giant bunkers, and challenging greens all spoke to the high caliber of the championship course. As I made my way around the course, the layout of the holes was much different from when I had been there for the PGA Champions Tour. Each hole presented a unique challenge, from extremely long par-5s to comparatively long par-3s that required precision iron or even wood play.
One of the highlights of my experience was watching the top golfers in the world compete for the championship. The atmosphere was electric, with thousands of spectators cheering on their favorite players. I was fortunate enough to witness some incredible shots.
Another standout feature of the championship was the quality of the facilities. The grandstands and hospitality areas were well-appointed, with comfortable seating and stunning views of the course. The vendors offered a wide variety of food and drink options, and the staff was friendly and helpful.
As the championship drew to a close, I felt grateful for the opportunity to experience such a world-class golfing event. Attending the 2022 PGA Championship at Southern Hills was an unforgettable experience that will stay with me for a lifetime. If you have the chance to attend a major golf championship, I highly recommend it. The combination of top-notch golf, incredible surroundings, and world-class facilities make it a must-attend event for any golfer.
